Time-off/Absence Type Consolidation and Improvements - v1 and v2 API

Personio will be updating a set of absence categories to better align with market needs and enhance flexibility of absence types for all customers. The summary of the changes are present below:

1. Category "voluntary_military_service" will be renamed to "public_duties" to cover more use cases.
2. Categories "lawful_strike", "unlawful_strike", and "lockout" will be merged into "strike_lockout" to streamline handling of low-frequency absence periods.

Do note that these changes will be applied to both the v1 GET Time-off Types and v2 Get Absence Types endpoints and will come into effect from January 27, 2025
